The node edit forms, where News Items and CPL News Items can be created and edited, each have an 'archive date.' On this date the news item will be removed automatically from the general 'News & Announcements' page to the 'News Archive' (for [CAMWS] News Items); and from the CPL News page to the CPL News Archive page (for CPL News Items). The CPL News Archive is linked from the 'CPL' item in the main menu, and the [CAMWS] News Archive is linked from the 'News' item in the main menu.
It is permissible to leave 'Archive Date' blank, in which case the news item will remain on the relevant current news page until it is unpublished, or until an archive date is set. In order to move a news item from the relevant current news page to the relevant news archive page immediately, simply set this 'Archive Date' to any date in the past year. A news item which is set to 'unpublished' will be removed from all publicly available pages.
