CJ Journal Issues

The TCL and CJ websites have the same basic functionality as the main CAMWS, except that they lack the functionality to create new forms, and they lack ecommerce. In addition they have a feature for assembling journal issues.

To create a journal issue, the workflow is:

1. Create a piece of content for the Issue (at Add Content > CJ Issue, or Add Content > TCL Issue). The only thing this must have is a title which uniquely identifies it (and which can be an issue number). There are fields for optionally creating a description of the issue, a cover image, attaching a PDF, ordering items in the issue and so, which are described by help text on the issue creation form. There are setting near the bottom left of the form to remove the 'published' setting (possibly useful when working on a draft issue);  and to add a meaningful  URL, instead of the default (which will be in the form node/124).

2. Create a piece of content for each Article Abstract  (at Add Content > CJ Issue, or Add Content > TCL Issue). There are fields for optionally including an abstract of the article, ordering items in the issue and so, which are described by help text on the issue creation form. There are setting near the bottom left of the form to remove the 'published' setting (possibly useful when working on a draft issue);  and to add a meaningful  URL, instead of the default (which will be in the form node/124).

2.a For each Article Abstract (or full text), on the page where you create there is a box to select the issue to which it belongs, and the position in the issue's running order.

3. Visit the page which you created for the Journal Issue. The Abstracts which you created and assigned to this article will magically appear at the bottom of the page in the order you set.
